About
Tris is a multi-faceted guitarist. Having worked on film scores, countless stage and studio collaborations and solo projects. For stage and studio collaborations he’s just as happy filling out the sound of a large band, as he is accompanying singers and other solo instrumentalists, always allowing the artists to find the sound and music they want without compromise.
In addition to providing instrumental and technical support, he can also be found behind the sound desk offering production advice and guidance.
Musical tuition comes in the form of holistic approach to teaching; not only the passage of knowledge, theory and wisdom but also instrument care, gig support and live audio consultation. He teaches all comers from the enthusiastic novice to the seasoned veteran who wish to hone their skills. Although he teaches a huge variety of styles and levels including Classical, Rock (rhythm and lead), Blues, Fingerstyle and Folk, his areas of expertise are Slide, Lapsteel, 12-String and Open Tunings.
He is heavily involved in the Open Mic community of the Bay Area hosting a weekly Open Mic Night at The Rockit Room and is a regular performer and supporter of live music at many other venues. His focus for bringing local talent to the public also has him promoting and hosting an Acoustic Showcase called The Live Lounge at The Rockit Room once a month.
So, whether you are a band requiring a dependable guitarist to add that extra dimension, a studio needing a last minute track laying down before the final mix or a beginner who has finally decided to dust off the acoustic in the corner and actually do something with it then please get in contact. He’d love to hear from you
