Began playing guitar at the late age of 4, although those early years were limited to using guitars and ukuleles small enough to allow peanut butter covered fingers to reach around the neck.
Initially Classically trained, until aged 14 when my music teacher played Purple Haze to me and my focus immediately switched from John Williams and Paul Galbraith to Jimi Hendrix and Rory Gallagher. The transformation began from teenage guitar geek to hard practicing musical recluse. Girls and cars would be second fiddle for years.
I cut my teeth in the pubs and clubs of Northern England and Scotland, and as time and experience carried me forward over the years and around the world, I have been fortunate enough to play with incredible musicians in amazing places. From Copenhagen to Caithness, Faro to Folsom and Stockport to San Francisco where I now live.
